The Mexican birthday tradition is to chant "Mordida! Mordida!" after
the candles are blown out, and then to jam the birthday person's face into the
cake! As you can see, Juan overcame his initial hesitance to risk Brigit's ire.
After the photo was taken and Brigit left the room to wash her face, 3 year
old Carla let her father know in no uncertain terms that she NEVER wanted that
to happen again! And especially not to her!
