Each school in Cuitzeo (and there are dozens, from kindergarten to college) participated in the children's parade for the Spring Equinox. Each designated a king, queen, some princes and princesses, and various other courtiers. All the other children wore butterfly, flower or animal costumes. The royal courts rode in floats like these. These costumes were incredibly elaborate, and the girls had their hair done professionally. This is a big deal!
