| When we arrived in Villa Morelos on this day, Adrian's wife Pina was away doing laundry, he said. We discovered that she and her daughters had carried several large tubs of dirty clothes about half a steep mile down hill to the village center where there is water available for hand washing clothing. After scrubbing and wringing it all, she then lugged significantly heavy tubs of wet clothes back up the hill. I met her part way and helped lug, and then helped to hang it on lines and trees just above their house. |
